Day 55--

Learning Target ImageWhat will I be able to do when I've finished this lesson?How will I  accomplish this task?  How will I show that I have done this?How well will I have to do this?
 I will be able to understand the different social classes in France at the beginning of the French Revolution.I will watch a video and complete part of a reading assignment to learn about the different groups.  I will complete a chart that identifies the groups and their relative sizes, wealth, and power. This is a formative assessment and will help me with my summative assessments in this assessment cycle.
FIRST-- A REMINDER: Your written assessment on our last unit (Scientific Revolution and Enlightenment) was due last night. If you didn't turn it in, please complete it as soon as possible and get it into the Assessment Dropbox. Students who have not turned it in yet are assigned a working lunch today. Be sure to show up if that means YOU. 

NEXT:  As we move into the next unit, we'll continue to look back on the ideas of the Enlightenment. As many of those ideas were put into practice, they brought about major and violent changes, in a time known as the French Revolution.

We'll start by watching the beginning of a video that sets the stage for our next unit.

After the video, and for homework if necessay, we'll start the first assignment for the new unit. For tomorrow, complete Part I of the assignment called Chapt 11.1: Revolution Begins (pages 340-342). Read the assigned pages and use the Political Cartoon and Graphs to figure out what the roles of the Three Estates were at the start of the French Revolution.
