Opening Activities:
BEFORE YOU BEGIN today's activities, please fill out this very brief survey about your Chromebook.

After you complete the survey, complete and share the box on top of an image assignment from last Friday.

If you've already shared it with Mr. Knowles, it's time to start learning about multi-column layouts using CSS.

Start by looking at and playing around with these three links.
  1. How to show text with a scrollbar when needed.
  2. How to make something stationary on your page (no matter what the rest of the page is doing)
  3. How to create a no-table layout using CSS and div tags
As you work with them, try to understand exactly what the code is doing, why it works, and what you can do with it. Your next graded assessment (that we'll work on next week) will make use of many of the small assignments you've created over the past two or three weeks (dropdown menu-bars, tables, conditional formatting, background images, etc.) as you create a 4 piece web layout. You'll need to know how to control scrolling (#1 above) how to make items stationary (#2) and how to create multiple column layouts using div tags (#3)

So take today to play around with those items while others get caught up. See how far you can incorporate your past learning into these new areas. Be read to share what you learn by the end of the period.

More details then...... :)
