Activity
InstructionsFocus on the Ideas and Art of the Renaissance
Using an article at World Book Online called "Renaissance", learn about the ways the Italian Renaissance began, how it first brought people to Italy, then spread outward, and finally had an impact on later times. You may also use your textbook to help.
***If you are prompted  to login, use esd112 for the username and worldbook112 for the password.

Open Google Docs and Create a New document from a template. It's a slideshow called Renaissance Slides. Open ONE PER GROUP, then share the document to each group member. As you work, you'll be creating at least one slide for each of the following sections. 

Political Background
Humanism
The Renaissance Outside Italy
Heritage of the Renaissance

Include key information about each topic on the appropriate slide using a 6 x 6 format. (no more than 6 lines per slide, and no more than 6 words per line)

You also may include additional slides if you have time and interest. Consider finding appropriate images to support your text. 

When finished, Share your document with Mr Knowles.

Review and add information and definitions for the following terms:

Start your HOMEWORK, due Monday
 Read the end of the chapter (page 175) to learn how the Italian Renaissance spread out across Europe. 
1) What were some of the more significant differences between the Northern Renaissance and the Italian Renaissance?
2) What caused those differences?
3) What advances did Northern Renaissance artists bring to the movement?
