Today we'll continue working on Assessment 12, due this Friday, March 30.

Begin by working in a small group to put a number of historical events in chronological order. Start without the use of books or computers; use just what you and your group members already know. Then, when you're satisfied you've done your best, use the textbook to check your work and add the years that the events occurred.

Due March 30, 2012

Standard: History 4.2

Understand and analyzes causal factors that have shaped major events in history.

Key Question to Answer

How did the American Revolution in North America lead to Napoleon's power in Europe?

Content Focus

Ch 10: American Revolution and Ch. 11: French Revolution (330-367)

You can also check the chronology of these events with an online exercise

Remember that your job is to tell the story of how the American Revolution, fueled by ideas from the Enlightenment and rejecting old ideas of Absolutism, led to changed attitudes in France as well, and how those new ideas sparked the French Revolution, and eventually led to Napoleon's power.

If you're still having trouble understanding your task, take a look at this Prezi that may help.

Continue working on your Assessment in class today.
