With Assessment 11 turned in (you did turn it in, didn't you?) it's time to take a short break from moving forward, and take a look back at one of the important people from the last assessment cycle and the events that surrounded him.

In 1632, Galileo Galilei published  Dialogues on the Two Chief World Systems where he described his theories about the earth, the sun, and the universe.
In 1633, he was summoned to Rome to answer for his ideas before the Catholic Church.

Begin today's assignment by reading the first 4 paragraphs (at least) at this page from the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy. This should set the stage for the primary source you will be working with.

Next, find out which of the primary source documents you and your group will be working with. Once you have your assignment, follow the link to the source. Open a Google Doc Template called APPARTS and work as a group to complete it. DO NOT SHARE IT ELECTRONICALLY. Each group member should type their own responses in their own chart, though you are encouraged to discuss the answers you all come up with.
