Big Question --How do new economic realities impact the way people live their daily lives? 

Content Focus--Industrial Revolution: Chapter 12, Section 1 (378-387) and Chapter 13, Sections 1 & 2 (416-431)

Yesterday, you composed a paragraph, complete with citations, that explained the new economic world created by the Industrial Revolution. What had changed? Why had the changes occurred? How did the new economic system work?

This paragraph may become the first paragraph (after your introduction) of your next assessment. Begin today's class period by sharing your paragraph with someone else in class. Check each other's paragraph for accuracy, completeness, citations, logic. Help each other create a strong paragraph based on the changes that were occurring during the Industrial Revolution.

Finished? Great. Now turn your attention to the next part of your upcoming assessment: explaining how those changes in industry and the way things were made had an impact on people's lives. Use information from Chapter 12, Section 1 (378-387) and last night's assignment (Ch. 13, Section 2) to discuss the changes that occurred in how people lived as a result of the industrial revolution. Answer these questions in your paragraph if you can (and, as always, provide citations to show the source of your information)

Explain how economic changes looked to the people who experienced them
Who was most affected by the changes?
How did people react to changes of the new economy?
Who was not affected by the changes?
