Learning Target ImageWhat will I be able to do when I've finished this lesson? What idea, topic, or subject is important for me to learn and understand so that I can do this? What will I do to show that I can do this? How well will I have to do this?
I will be able to ask at least two clear questions about important concepts from this unit.
I need to think about important concepts and understand important differences between similar concepts.
I will create at least two (but maybe more) multiple choice question about an important concept from this unit.  This is a formative assessment. The activity will help me understand material I will need to use in my next summative assessment.

Today's assignment is an individual activity. However, if you have questions or want to share your work with others for feedback, it's okay to talk about your work. Feel free to ask Mr. Knowles for help, too.

Your next summative (graded) assessment is this Friday, January 11.

To get you prepared for this, today we begin a review of some of the key concepts you should be familiar with before you take the assessment.

Here's what you're going to do.
Step 1: Get a concept (person, place, idea, event, concept) from the unit that you may need to know on Friday
Step 2: Open a form called "Make your own test question". Follow the instructions there very carefully.
Step 3: Submit your question, then repeat steps 1 & 2.
Step 4: After you have created and submitted 2 (required) questions, you may spend the rest class either:
    A) Going back to Step 1 and doing it again, or
    B) Returning to any assignments that you need to complete before Friday and work on them.
    C) Organizing your assignments into a single folder so you can easily find them all when you need them on Friday.
    D) Visiting the textbook's Study Central online review site to review key ideas from the unit. (See below)

HOMEWORK: Anything for this unit that you haven't finished yet. The assessment is this Friday, so make sure you'll have all the assignments done by then to help you do well on the assessment.
