Day 1
Welcome to the 2nd Semester of World History.

Today we'll be wrapping up assessments from last semester if necessary. But, before you get going on that, the first thing we're going to do today is try a new way of assigning, completing, and turning in daily assignments. It shouldn't take long. Here's what you need to do:

  1. Open your GMail inbox.
  2. Look for an email with the subject line "I've shared you on a document "
  3. Open it, then follow the link inside it.
  4. You should see a Google Doc that has a chart with the names of many explorers, like this:

We'll be starting it together, as a class. For now, make sure it has opened correctly on your Drive (you should be able to edit it) and it should be named correctly (with your class period, first initial, and last name at the beginning). Check to see that this has happened. 

After completing the first line together, you may either:
  1. Work on resubmitting any of the assessments from last semester that you want re-graded (due Tuesday)
  2. Continue working on the chart we just opened. (it's due on Wednesday)
  3. Go back to the Explorers slideshow you started last week or the week before (also due Wednesday)
  4. Begin working on your first homework assignment for this unit (due, yep, Wednesday)
