Day 5--

Last night's homework put a focus on the role of Spanish explorers known as Conquistadors, as well as the approach that Spain later took toward the indigenous people it found on the land it had claimed. Today we'll focus on the that homework as well as other events that you read about.

 I will be able to explain some of the important features of Spain's conquest of the Americas in the 16th Century.
I need to think about how why small groups of conquistadors were so successful in conquering the much larger civilizations they encountered.  
I will watch a video and collect notes about reasons behind the Spanish successes at conquering the Incas.    This is a formative assessment. I need to take notes while watching the video that I can use later on. 


To begin, open a new Google Doc, and title it "Video Notes: The Inca".
Copy the following into your document:

Reasons for the Final Outcome

As you watch the video, you'll be typing notes that fit under each heading (or just take notes at the end and sort them later).
