Day 56--

Today we'll focus on what a revolution is, and how the Three Estates that existed in France in 1789 contributed to a climate where, if things didn't go just right, a revolution might occur.
And in 1789, things in France did not go "just right"....

Let's start with a word:

What does it mean?
What are some related words?
What words are based on its root (re-vol-ution)?
What do those words mean?

Next, we'll look at where things stood at the START of the French Revolution.
The Three Estates:

Get out your homework from last night as we review the three estates:
Who were they?
How large were they?
How wealthy were they?
How taxed were they?
What could they do about it if they didn't like it?

Homework: Finish the assignment from yesterday (Ch 11.1: The Revolution Begins)
