Day 37--

Learning Target ImageWhat will I be able to do when I've finished this lesson? How will I  accomplish this task?  How will I show that I have done this? How well will I have to do this?
I will be able explain how civil rights have been addressed by federal legislation and court decisions. I will complete an outline using last night's reading assignment.I will use my textbook and work with a partner to collect and think about key events and ideas that have defined civil rights since the 1960'sThis is a formative assessment. I need to complete it carefully to provide material I will need later for my summative assessment.

You had homework last night, and today's in-class assignment is based on that reading.

Using the handout, work your way through the reading again, collecting detailed information about the ideas listed. Work with a partner if you like to gather the requested information. When you finish, hand it in. (Don't worry; you'll get it back before next week's test)

If  you finish with time to spare, you may want to start the last homework assignment of the unit; it's due on Monday.
