Day 16--

Learning Target ImageWhat will I be able to do when I've finished this lesson? What idea, topic, or subject is important for me to learn and understand so that I can do this? What will I do to show that I can do this? How well will I have to do this?
I will be able to turn in a completed, polished essay about one of the five key concepts of American democracy.
I need to explain how I see one of the five key concepts of American democracy in terms of how it exists, and how it doesn't exist, today.
I need to complete my first unit essay following the guidelines I've been provided. This is a summative assessment. It should reflect my understanding of the topic I've chosen, and should be the best work I'm capable of producing right now.

Use the class period to work on your written assessment -- due today at midnight.

Here's a link to get started if you haven't already and here's a planning guide to help even more. Ask for help if you need it.

When finished, use the Dropbox link at the left of this page, then use the Assessment Dropbox to submit your essay.

Done already? You can get a head start on the next unit by reading an article in the UpFront magazine called:
and one (or more) of these outlines of the US Constitution to get an idea of how it is constructed:

HOMEWORK: Complete your first written assessment and turn it in using the assessment dropbox by midnight tonight.
