Day 50--

Learning Target ImageWhat will I be able to do when I've finished this lesson? How will I  accomplish this task?  How will I show that I have done this? How well will I have to do this?
I will be able to understand how the election of 2000 developed into an election that challenged the electoral college process in Florida and around the nation.I will take notes as I watch a video about the events in Florida in 2000 as a close race became even closer. I will complete a note-taking outline as I watch and in discussion afterward. This is a formative assessment. My work will directly help me later as I complete my summative assessment for this assessment cycle.

Today we'll begin watching a video about the Election of 2000. Be sure to take notes and ask questions as we go.

Friday you have an OPEN NOTE Test over this unit on the Presidency. Come prepared with all your notes, homework, outlines, etc.

After that, it's time for your Essay, due Monday. Be sure to use the information from class, from your own research, and your own opinions, to write a clear, persuasive essay on ONE of the FOUR topics provided.

HOMEWORK: Late assignments from the unit, or get ahead on your essay. We'll talk more about each of these in the coming days, but the more prepared you are, the better.
