Today we'll take a bit of a break from our current unit. You had a homework assignment (Ratifying the Constitution, pp 46-49) over the weekend, which you may turn in if you are done. Otherwise, get it done tonight to be on track. All the other homework assignments will be pushed back a day. 

Today we'll look at the first written assessment, your essay on the presidency. 

Wednesday night is the first of the presidential debates (and if you like you can watch it with other students, staff, and community members in the CHS library at 6 pm). Why is it such a big deal for the candidates and for those who follow the campaign so closely? What will they be talking about? What will people be looking for?
