  1. Finish review of your work from last week dealing with one of the key concepts of democracy:  

recognition of the fundamental worth of every person (15)

respect for the equality of all persons (16)

faith in majority rule accompanied by respect for minority rights (17)

An acceptance of the necessity of compromise (17)

An insistence upon the widest possible degree of individual freedom (17)

The main activity today will be a review of last these key concepts as a class. You will be responsible for explaining 1 or 2 of the following questions about your assigned concept, so get ready! 

 What does the concept mean to you (your words)

Why is this such an important idea in a democracy?

What limits the concept?  or When is it limited by the other concepts in the list?
