Class Activity:
1) Any questions about last night's homework? Let's talk about them.

2) Vocabulary word: biennium

3) Today you'll be using an online resource from Washington State's government called A Citizen's Guide to the State Budget to learn more about the services our state government provides and how the state pays for these services.
  1. Open the document by clicking on this link.
  2. Next, open the assignment questions. You may complete one per group if you like (just make sure you include both partners' names)
  3. Working with your partner, find the answers to the questions in the assignment. All answers are in the state resource. Questions appear in order, and page numbers are given. You may also use the Ctrl + F keys to search for key words within the document.
There are lots of questions, but just work your way through the document to find the answers. Do them in order, and discuss your answers with your partner as you go.

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT WHAT TO DO

REMEMBER: To do your best on summative assessments, you'll need to use not only the information that we've discussed in class, but also include information from outside of classroom activities, either from information you already know, or from additional research you complete. Conduct your own research if necessary, or visit the Extension link below for ideas.
