Class Activity:
Today we continue our look at The US Presidency by looking at candidates for the upcoming presidential race in 2012.
We know that, as Chief of the Party, the current President can pretty much have his party's nomination if he wants to run for a second term. President Obama has said he does want to run for a second term, so his candidacy in next November's election is set.
But what about the other party? Who will be the Republican's candidate for President in 2012?

As part of this unit you will be doing some research on one of the candidates for the presidency from the Republican Party.

To begin this work, open a new Google Document from a Template called Presidential Candidates, 2012. Follow the instructions there for your assigned Presidential Candidate. Find out more about them at the New York Times

Be ready with your homework tomorrow.
